Senior Management Team
 MARK BULL –MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mark joined Hill McGlynn in October 1992 as trainee Freelance Consultant. He has progressed through the company as Branch Manager, Training Manager, UK Operations Manager and took up his current position of Managing Director in 2005. Mark oversaw the acquisition of Team Up Workforce (now Hill McGlynn Trades) in 2004. Today, Mark oversees the running of Hill McGlynn’s business jointly with Steven Ware and works closely with the Vedior management board.
 STEVEN WARE – GROUP OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Steven joined Stephen Hill in the early eighties to set up the UK business of Hill McGlynn. Holding the post of Group Operations Director for over twenty years, Steven has been key in ensuring that the UK operations of Hill McGlynn reach the length and breadth of the country. Steven works with Mark Bull in overseeing the running of the business on a daily basis and works closely with all of the UK offices.
 PAUL TONKS – FINANCE DIRECTOR
Paul has been a Chartered Accountant since 1989. With experience in financial services, construction and training sector companies Paul joined Hill McGlynn in January 2000 as Finance Director. As a main board Director, Paul is responsible for the effectiveness and development of the Finance team and Group accounts.
 JASON SILK – HR DIRECTOR
Following a degree in Strategic Systems Management, Jason joined Hill McGlynn in 1997 as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director, Stephen Hill. Jason was promoted in January 1998 to HR Executive and during the following years, he completed an MA in HR Management, along with gaining CIPD status.
In 2000, Jason was promoted to HR Manager and responsible for HR and personnel matters company wide, including legislation, recruitment, payroll and personnel procedures. In 2005 Jason received promotion to HR Director and reports to the main board on strategic HR issues and development. A keen Liverpool supporter, Jason also enjoys spending time with his wife and young son.
 JASMIT KALRA – REGIONAL DIRECTOR, LONDON
Jasmit joined Hill McGlynn as a trainee Recruitment Consultant in 1994 after completing his MSc in Personnel Management & Business Administration along with a BSc in Economics and European Studies. Working his way up through the company to become one of the company’s leading consultants, he was promoted to Branch Manager of the Birmingham office in 1997.
After growing the Birmingham business to one of the most successful in the UK, Jasmit was promoted in 2000 to London Regional Director to oversee the London, Welwyn Garden City and Maidstone offices. Over the last 5 years London has grown to become Hill McGlynn’s first ‘Super-Branch’, employing over 80 staff in its flagship offices in The Strand. A lifelong Aston Villa season ticket holder, Kal has a passion for football but tries to spend any free time away from work on the Golf course.
 MIKE BOWER – REGIONAL DIRECTOR, NORTH
Mike had worked in recruitment briefly before joining Hill McGlynn in 1994 as a Recruitment Consultant in the original Sheffield office. As the region expanded its operations and the Sheffield office relocated to Leeds, Mike progressed his career to Senior Consultant. This was followed by his promotion to Deputy Branch Manager, before taking the position of Leeds Branch Manager in 1999 as the northern business expanded.
With the northern operation growing, Mike was promoted to Northern Regional Director in 2004 overseeing the Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle operations - one of the largest geographical areas of the Hill McGlynn business. As a lifelong supporter of Rotherham Football club, Mike shares his passion for football with his son.
 KAREN SIMS – NATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER
Karen has over 13 years experience in recruitment working for some of the world’s largest recruitment brands such as Randstad, Select in various roles including Branch and Regional Manager positions. Karen’s experience of working in a mixture of IT, sales, construction, trades and technical sectors for both permanent and freelance recruitment has given her a background in many aspects of the recruitment business.
After joining Hill McGlynn in 2004; Karen’s main focus is to look after national projects such as heading up the Key Accounts team. In 2007, Karen established and manages the Atkins team which focuses on recruiting specifically for Atkins and Faithful + Gould. As an avid Tottenham Hotspur fan, Karen is one of the faithful supporters who travels to watch them playing in all of their European matches.
 PETE MARSTON – INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Peter joined Hill McGlynn in 2000 as a recruitment consultant for the International team based in Southampton. Peter progressed his career within the International department, taking on the role of International Manager in 2002. For the past four years, Peter has managed all International operations (excluding the Australian business) together with managing the Executive Search & Selection business.
Peter established and opened the Dubai office in 2006 and after his promotion to International Director in 2007, Peter is currently working on the continuing growth of overseas offices. Peter is a keen traveller, and enjoys seeing the world with his wife Karen.
 ANDREW JONES – REGIONAL DIRECTOR - SOUTH & MIDLANDS
Andrew began his recruitment career in 1995 and has 8 years experience and Regional Manager for Hays before joining Hill McGlynn in 2005. Initially looking after the Bristol and Southampton offices, Andrew has increased his geographical responsibility and as of 2007 will add the Birmingham office to his portfolio of responsibilities. Out of work, Andrew is a follower of Welsh Rugby and Tottenham Hotspur whilst enjoying time with his two young sons.
