Hill McGlynn opens its doors in Glasgow
Host to the upcoming Commonwealth Games in 2014 and former European City of Culture, Glasgow is one of the UK’s most promising economies – a fact which has not escaped Hill McGlynn, the leading specialist construction recruiter which has announced the launch of its new office in Glasgow.
David Gill, Newcastle and newly appointed Glasgow Branch Manager at Hill McGlynn, explains why the City is a pivotal part of the company’s expansion plan:
“Predictions that the Commonwealth Games alone will be responsible for creating 1,000 jobs in Glasgow and 1,200 in Scotland, has meant that the City will have one of the fastest growing economies in the UK the next six years. The opportunities for the construction and building industry are clear, and as the proven leader in the provision of experienced workers across temporary, permanent and contract staffing services, we are looking forward to working in partnership with companies supporting the new build and associated needs. We are already working with a range of clients in Glasgow and now we have a strong and talented team on the ground to drive business forward.”
Joining Hill McGlynn will be Team Leader, Jonathan Allan, who has over five years experience specialising in the construction industry. Supporting Jonathan will be Paul Johstone, Senior Consultant, with a further two consultants coming on board imminently.
Jonathan said: “With business booming and Glasgow a real growth area for us we plan to invest in our own resources even further over the coming months and envisage the team reaching 15 strong in the next three years.”
